How we earn, in plain sight

House of Vestelle styles for you and links you to the pieces. Some of those links are affiliate links — and we'd rather tell you that plainly than have you discover it. Honesty is the whole point of a styling house worth trusting.

01 What this means

When your lookbook links to a product and you choose to buy through that link, House of Vestelle may earn a small commission from the retailer — at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is the same as it would be without our link. And to be clear: you are never required to purchase anything. The styling is yours whether you buy a single piece or none at all.

02 Where you'll see this

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission asks that any financial relationship behind a recommendation be disclosed "clearly and conspicuously" — plainly worded and easy to see. So we place a disclosure right on the page with your looks, and a short form in the footer of every page. We never hide it, shrink it, or tuck it behind a link.

03 Other programs

Amazon is our primary affiliate partner today, and the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program is an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. As House of Vestelle grows, we may participate in other reputable affiliate programs and networks for additional retailers and brands. Wherever we do, the same rule holds: affiliate links are disclosed, and they never cost you more.

04 Our independence

This is the part that matters most: a commission never changes what we recommend. Your looks are composed from your answers — your sizes, your comfort, your taste — not from which retailer pays us. We'd rather earn nothing on a look that's right for you than a commission on one that isn't.

05 For our partner photographers

On white-label editions, every lookbook your clients receive carries this disclosure, and it stays exactly where we place it. That protects you:

• It's the law. The FTC requires the disclosure to be clear and conspicuous; a hidden disclosure is treated as no disclosure, and enforcement reaches everyone whose brand is on the page.
• Amazon requires it too. Removing it can close the Associates account — ending commissions for everyone on the platform.
• It builds trust. "We styled this for you, and yes, we earn a small commission" reads as professional. A commission a client discovers later reads as a trick — and that feeling attaches to your studio.

So the disclosure language is supplied by us, appears on every lookbook automatically, and may not be removed, hidden, or restyled into invisibility. Three sentences that keep your commissions, your account, and your reputation safe.
